If you are willing to change your way of thinking and put new ideas into practice, you can meet great guy’s everyday. But for now, you need to forgive yourself for not dating and get on with your social life. All you need is self confidence and some clues about how to change you’re dating habits.

If you are introverted or withdrawn, that’s not inviting to men, they may take it as a cold shoulder. You can simply find a boyfriend by looking at guys and smiling, saying “hi” when they smile back or even “how ya doin?” to engage them in further conversation. Guys like to be noticed and appreciated.

However there may be more to you not dating than what appears on the surface. See if any of the following circumstances apply to you and then follow the suggestions to simply find a boyfriend.

What Kind of Message Are You Sending?
Writing can help sort out your feelings. In a personal journal tell yourself what your best and worse traits are. This is a purging process to see what falsities you have bought into about yourself. This information will tell you what may be restraining you from realizing the woman you really are. For example, you may think you’re not pretty. You are likely wrong. Just look around you. Do the couples you see look like they just stepped out of a magazine? The answer is no, generally not. It’s time to face the truth that you are everything and then some. Try writing all your fabulous qualities in your journal—it’s not egotistical, it’s therapeutic!

Mementos Galore
Finding a boyfriend takes self-assurance. If you have times of self-doubt, refer to your journal, and photos, e-mails, cards, etc. from loved ones that express your importance to them. When you find yourself in doubt about your worth, open your box of mementos to be remind yourself who and what you are.

Sugar Gets You A Lot Farther Than Vinegar
Nobody likes a sourpuss. Being friendly is an extremely important quality for finding a boyfriend and it’s something that you have complete control over. If you feel awkward having conversations with strangers, stretch your boundaries and reach out to others. Devise a plan like this:
1. Smile and say hello to a stranger the first week.
2. Smile and say hello to a stranger every day during the second week.
3. Engage a fellow female customer in a conversation about the items for sale. If you are able, keep talking about the weather or whatever. You gain self-confidence this way. Do this exercise three times in the third week.
4. Find a new guy to speak to every day the fourth week. Don’t forget to smile!
5. Greet three guys a day during the fifth week, always smiling.
6. Engage in conversation with new guys every day during week six.

Over the course of six weeks you will come to realize that men feel just as awkward as you feel so that levels the playing field.

Since love doesn’t just happen by itself, we have to make the effort to meet people, go on dates, and find someone special. It’s hard work, but it’s worth it. Once you’ve practiced the suggestions for six weeks, practice thinking “So many men, so little time.” You will be finding a boyfriend in no time if you apply the things discussed in this article.
