When a woman begins a relationship, sometimes it is often hard to understand how to tell if he’s the marrying type. Some people believe that if the relationship seems to be going well nd sex is in the picture, that this is a match made in heaven. If only all relationships were heavenly. You can avoid relationships that border on the opposite end of the spectrum by learning the signs that will tell if he’s the marrying type.
The Signs of Marriage Readiness
• One of the first signs that will let you know if he’s the marrying type is whether or not you can trust him. Do you believe in your heart that he really cares for you? Has he proven himself trustworthy? Will he finish the race or quit early? If you feel in your heart that he is in it to the finish line, then this is one of the ways that you can tell if he’s the marrying type.
• If he is an open and honest communicator this is a good sign that he is ready for a serious relationship. If he stews inwardly and is not willing to share his thoughts with you and has no interest in yours, then he is not ready for marriage. While you two can still be good friends, he needs to mature before he can make a commitment.
• Play close attention to how he acts when he is around other married couples. Does he talk about how happy they look and are or does he start making negative “ball and chain” comments? If he holds you deeply and kisses your forehead after an outing with married friends, this is definitely a positive sign. He’s telling you that he’s glad he has you.
• A simple yet gigantic way you can tell if he’s the marrying type is by simply asking him. When you bring up the subject, he will actively participate in the conversation and ask you more about your thoughts and plans and share his. If he is adverse to marriage, he will either quickly change the subject or take a defensive stance against you. The conversation changers and the defenders are not yet ready for marriage. They might not ever be or they could just need a little more time.
