Everyone wants to date that amazing, fascinating person. Unfortunately, sometimes it seems like date after date winds up being with duds and dead ends.

How do you snag a great guy, who’s worth your time and effort?

1. Be a great girl. What traits are you looking for in a man? You need to cultivate those in your own life.

They say opposites attract but the truth is that most commonly, people are attracted to mates who are similar to them in meaningful ways.

If you want a man who is emotionally reliable, faithful, and fun, first work build those traits in yourself.

2. The test questions. Don’t be afraid to directly inquire about things that are important to you.

If you value a man who has a job and doesn’t live in his mom’s basement, ask him politely but honestly where he lives or what he does for a career.

If it’s vital to you that your sweetie share your passion for old sic-fi movies or salsa dancing ask about those things too.

Don’t waste time on a second date if he hates everything you’re into. That just leads to problems later.

3. If at first you don’t succeed… Be patient. This is the hardest part about getting a really great guy.

You have to kiss some frogs to find your prince. That’s one reason it’s best not to narrow yourself to just one dating partner until you feel like you’re prince charming has arrived!

So how do you snag a great guy? First make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

It’s easier to tell if a guy is compatible with you when you know what direction you’re own life is headed. Ask candidly about the things that are important to you. Most importantly, don’t give up.

It may take some time, but you will definitely find your beloved prince!
