Getting to Know You’re Date (Dating Advice for Women)

Most dating advice for women blogs refrain from telling you  how to get the most out of your first date by learning about your date.

 

Having a successful date is all about communication.

 

Keep in mind that communication is both verbal and physical. If you plan to keep him interested, you will have to find out as much as you can about him on the first date.

 

As a woman, it is easy to over talk your date.

 

When you’re happy to be out with a relationship prospect you may feel the need to tell your whole life story. But….DON’T. Keep things to yourself on the first date; don’t scare him away.

 

Make sure you give him opportunity to speak and to start conversation as well.

 

There is really no better way to get to know him than through the interaction you’ll have with him in conversation.

 

What you learn through all of this communication will serve as a great starting point, from which you can move on to the following suggestions to fill in any blanks in your knowledge of him.

 

Men have a great deal of things in common, but there are an equal number of things that they don’t have in common either.

 

For instance, if a woman were to assume that all men love soccer, she would most likely be incorrect. Likewise, a man would be wrong if he assumed that all women loved to cook. Remember that everyone is unique.

 

Taking the time to find out what makes your date unique will definitely double your chances at getting to know him.

 

Ultimately, dating advice for women is easy, but you have to follow through. While it is helpful to also get a few tips from friends, you also have to take the time to listen to what your date has to say.

 

Therefore, it’s back to what you can find out for yourself. Remember to listen then respond, but be sure to avoid being vague.

 

He wants to know about you just as much as you want to know about him. The key is finding the balance between sharing information about yourself and dominating the conversation.

 

Once you answer a question, follow it up with a question for him.

 

It is also important to keep your questions open ended. Asking questions that can be answered with a simply yes or no will decrease the opportunities for conversation.
